Middle son, Ryan Sunderland, has been a part of Bryson Drilling since its inception
Ryan has been with Bryson since the start of the company in 2008. Prior to working in the family Diamond Drilling business, he started as a helper and worked his way to drilling with a variety of companies in Saskatchewan, BC, and Manitoba. Ryan has experience as a helper, a driller and as a foreman over the past several years. He now does a good deal of the procurement and inventory management for the company.
Ryan is very active in the ongoing management of Bryson including proposals, contracts, hiring and providing support in the field as needed.
Ryan enjoys the variety of roles and responsibilities that he looks after at Bryson. He values the long-term relationships with clients, employees and vendors developed over the past several years. He also enjoys looking for ways to improve business process and operations effectiveness. He finds the cyclical nature of the industry challenging along with the remote nature of the locations they work in.
Ryan gets a great deal of satisfaction when they complete the project on time, on budget and without incident. He takes a pride in providing superior Diamond Drilling services and receiving great client feedback. He knows that they have gained the reputation as an industry leader by doing superior work and overcoming unique challenges.
Ryan has seen an amazing improvement in the overall operations and processes over the past 7-10 years. He has also seen a great deal of best practices employed to ensure jobs are done safely and without incident.
Ryan also farms a small grain operation like others in his family
